The School of Social Sciences offers several competitive scholarships to students committed to academic excellence, thanks to generous donations from alumni and community friends.

Students: To be eligible for all of the following scholarships, you must be a declared major within the School of Social Sciences and have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additional eligibility and application requirements vary and are described in detail within each scholarship. Undergraduate Scholarship & Award Opportunities

Looking for additional campus-wide scholarship opportunities? The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships makes it easy with a single application that connects students to a variety of funding options across UC Irvine. By completing this one-application process, students may be matched to scholarships based on merit, financial need, and other eligibility criteria not tied to a specific school or major. Graduate Order of Merit Awards

The call for nominations for Graduate Order of Merit awards are made annually at the end of the academic year through a school-wide competition. The awards recognize outstanding academic achievement and promise, scholarship, research and service. Each award carries a generous honorarium and recognition during the School's formal Order of Merit ceremony held in Spring.
